INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed USMC Colonel (Ret) Eric Buer.

On a recent Price of Business show, Host Kevin Price interviewed retired US Marine Colonel and security expert, Eric Buer.

Colonel (Ret.) Eric Buer argues that the latest Gaza ceasefire—or Trump’s 20-point peace plan—is destined to fail, not due to its content but because of a historic pattern of Palestinian leadership rejecting compromise. He traces this refusal back to the 1947 UN Partition, through Arafat’s rejection at Camp David in 2000, Abbas’s dismissal of Olmert’s generous offer in 2008, and the dismissal of Trump’s 2020 plan. Each time, leaders walked away rather than accept recognition of Israel or relinquish military capabilities. In the 2025 proposal, Hamas has conditionally accepted some terms—like releasing hostages and temporary technocratic governance—but remains vague on disarmament and sovereignty. Buer sees this ambiguity as a deliberate ploy to continue the conflict on their terms. He contends that the international community has enabled this cycle by rewarding rejection with ongoing aid and diplomatic tolerance. Unless Palestinian leaders fundamentally change course—accepting Israel’s existence, ending armed struggle, and embracing statehood—Buer concludes that peace offerings will continue to be diplomatic theater rather than viable paths to resolution.
