INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Glenn Boozan.

On a recent Price of Business, Host Kevin Price interviewed Emmy nominated comedy writer Glenn Boozan about her new book.
From the publisher: “Being a mom is hard – and being a perfect mom is a wildly unrealistic standard! And yet, every mom has felt that sense of failure. Breastfeeding, nap schedules, sending your kid to school in street clothes on pajama day you name it! – parenting is hard. “Now, Emmy-nominated comedy writer GLENN BOOZAN offers a surprising antidote to the pervasive “mom guilt”: There Are Moms Way Worse Than You: Irrefutable Proof That You Are Indeed a Fantastic Parent (Workman Publishing; Hardcover; $14.95; April 26, 2022). “Delightfully bold illustrations by Priscilla Witte enhance the reader’s tour through terrible animal parenthood—from neglectful cuckoo birds and harp seals to pushy giraffes (who are known to kick their calves until they walk). “Every charming rhyme offers a hysterical reality check, as Boozan reminds parents reading along that there are far worse things than fast food for dinner or too much screen time: “You won’t be worse than hamster moms, no matter how you try. Sometimes they eat their newborn pups. We still don’t yet know why.
“Whenever you feel guilty that you haven’t cleaned the house: Sexton beetles raise their kids in a decomposing mouse.“With wit and compassion, Boozan encourages moms to accept that there is no such thing as a perfect parent and to be proud of the everyday effort parenting takes while reminding readers that it’s the hardest and most rewarding job in the world. And hey, if you’re not feeding your child poop (see koala mom), you are doing a pretty darn amazing job. “In the end, Boozan redeems even those terrible animal parents by way of an appendix offering scientific context for the animals’ behavior. The message is ultimately an uplifting one: See? We are all doing the best we can with what we have:“Though you’ll make some big mistakes, remember this is true: When put into perspective there are moms WAY worse than you. “About the author: GLENN BOOZAN is an Emmy- and WGA-nominated comedy writer whose credits include Conan, Comedy Central’s Lights Out with David Spade, Sarah Silverman’s I Love You, America on Hulu, and TruTV’s Adam Ruins Everything. She lives in Los Angeles, a 30-minute drive from her mother, which apparently is still too far. Find Glenn on Twitter and Instagram for more.”
