Forbes.com Writer Discusses the “GOP’s Problem” and More on the Price of Business Show
INTERVIEW FROM THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW WITH TDB EDITOR AT LARGE, KEVIN PRICE
Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show and Editor at Large of The Daily Blaze, visited with speech writer, author, and Forbes.com contributor, John Tamny.
Tamny’s bio at Forbes.com states he is “a speech and op-ed writer, Director of the Center for Economic Freedom at FreedomWorks, editor of RealClearMarkets, and a senior economic adviser to Toreador Research & Trading. My new book is The End of Work: Why Your Passion Can Become Your Job. Other books by me include Who Needs the Fed?(Encounter, 2016) and Popular Economics (Regnery, 2015).”
In this interview they focused on the GOP’s messaging problem. The two disagreed on the solution. While Tamny wanted to focus entirely on the philosophical and constitutional case against excessive government, Price wanted to discuss the efficacy and morality as well. During the show Price noted, “it is hard to focus on the Constitution and philosophy when the vast majority of Americans are given a pro-government bent on both.” He went on to state that an appeal to common sense would likely go further. Often Tamny wanted to question Price’s libertarian credibility. It made for an interesting, if not awkward, exchange.
It is a lively conversation, listen to it in its entirety here:
