Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed John D. O’Connor.
Many citizens of good intention look toward the “sustainable” future pictured by environmentalists. But the picture painted is misleading, and certain “green” initiatives are destined to destroy our planet, not sustain it. Recent forest fires in California have been intensified, not restrained, by environmental “advances”, including the sophomoric notion that keeping trees from being harvested is good for the environment. Yes, trees emit oxygen, but burning trees emit poisonous gases. Electric vehicle mandates will require massive destruction of the earth to ferret out rare earth minerals, called “rare” for a reason, needed for EV batteries. As ore yields decrease, depredated earth increases. Building new infrastructure for EV charging stations will require astronomical cost and substantial emissions. Windmills kill hundreds of thousands of large birds annually, and now that they are being installed offshore, killing large marine mammals as well. Refining metals must be done in China, which in turn requires toxic chemicals and massive power use fueled by dirty coal. And our main enemy is in charge of American fate. Sustainability, as sold by environmentalists, is not sustainable.
Kevin Price introduces Price of Business show recurring guest, John D. O’Connor. O’Connor was the famed attorney of Watergate’s “Deep Throat.
According to PostGateBook.com “O’Connor served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Northern California from 1974-1979, representing the United States in both criminal and civil cases. Among his interesting assignments have been representation of the government during the OPEC oil embargo of the 1970s; writing Fifth Amendment and “state of mind” briefs for the prosecution in United States v. Patricia Hearst; representing the FDIC, FSLC and RTC during the savings and loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s; representing California Attorney General Dan Lungren in campaign-related litigation; defending R.J. Reynolds Tobacco in significant smoking and health litigation; representing Coach Don Nelson in litigation with Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban; and representing W. Mark Felt regarding the revelation of his identity as Deep Throat.”
