The Difference Between a Calculating and Reactionary Politician

Trump tends to promote policies as they come to his mind and stays with them, even when obviously harmful to him politically. Abbott is well ahead of his opponents. Like Abbott or not, few doubt that he knows what he is doing. Both Price and Kaplan doubt most people have even seen the “real” Abbott, who is probably a traditional right of center politician masquerading as a MAGA supporter to continue his rise to the top.
