INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed attorney, Lee Kaplan.

Kevin Price, Editor at Large for USABR and Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business show, recently interviewed Lee Kaplan of the business law firm, Murphy Ball Stratton about the politics of Texas and nationwide. Kaplan is a long time contributor of the Price of Business show and brings important perspectives on politics, business, and the law.

Over the weekend, President Donald Trump announced that the 12-day war between Israel and Iran was “officially over,” touting a ceasefire brokered with the help of Qatar. He claimed both sides had agreed to stop hostilities, calling it a “Complete and Total CEASEFIRE.” However, within hours of the announcement, violence resumed with renewed missile strikes and air raids.

Neither Israel nor Iran publicly confirmed Trump’s ceasefire agreement. Tehran denied launching any new attacks after the supposed truce took effect, while Israel responded with further strikes. The fragile ceasefire fell apart almost immediately.

Trump, visibly frustrated by the breakdown, lashed out during a press event and online, saying, “They don’t know what the f— they’re doing,” and criticizing both sides for escalating tensions after he had “fixed” the situation.

Experts were quick to note Trump’s lack of understanding of the conflict’s complexity. The rivalry between Iran and Israel is rooted in deep ideological, religious, and geopolitical divides that stretch back centuries. The recent war was triggered by Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear sites and quickly escalated into a regional crisis.

Critics argue that Trump’s approach—treating a deep-rooted conflict like a business deal—reflects a dangerous level of naiveté. Declaring peace without verified agreement from either party undermines U.S. credibility and risks making future diplomacy harder.

Trump’s announcement may have been aimed at creating a victory headline, but the renewed violence showed that words alone aren’t enough. The failure of the ceasefire highlights the importance of real negotiation, not just political theater.

In the end, Trump’s attempt at quick diplomacy unraveled as quickly as it was declared—leaving the region as volatile as ever.
