The Ukraine Gets Enough NATO Help To Fight, but Not Win

On a recent Price of Business, Host Kevin Price visited with the Republic of Poland’s Consul General in New York Adrian Kubicki. This was Kubicki’s second visit and they discussed the ongoing aid efforts to assist Ukraine, and whether enough is being done quickly enough for them to achieve victory. https://www.gov.pl/web/usa-en/consul-general-new-york.

For Poland, supporting Ukraine is extremely personal, according to Kubicki.  The people of Poland felt abandoned when Russia and Germany invaded their country with the launch of World War II and never wanted to see that happen to the people of Ukraine.

The two discussed how the West seems to be providing enough assistance to Ukraine to stay in the war, but not enough to win.  This has often been a consistent flaw in US defense policy since World War II in how it assists its allies.

He is a diplomat, sociologist, expert in public relations and communication, former journalist and spokesperson of LOT Polish Airlines. In August, 2019 he joined the Polish foreign service in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he received a consular title and was appointed to a four-year term as director of the Polish Cultural Institute in New York – part of Poland’s diplomatic mission to the U.S., specializing in the field of public diplomacy. In January 2020, he received an official nomination to become the new Consul-General of Poland in New York. In February 2020, he passed his hearing before a parliamentary commission, receiving the green light to take over the post in March, 2020.”
