INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed David Dozier who is a leading media authority.

On a recent Price of Business show, Host Kevin Price interviewed Dr. David Dozier. He’s professor emeritus of journalism at San Diego State. They discussed the arrest of the president of Venezuela. On January 3, U.S. forces captured Nicolas Maduro in Caracas. Trump did not seek prior approval from the U.S. Congress or the UN. The U.S. transported Maduro to America to face drug charges. That provided a legal justification for Trump’s intervention. However, on Dec. 1, Trump pardoned Juan Orlando Hernández, the former right-wing president of Honduras. Convicted in U.S. federal court in 2024, Hernández faced up to 45 years in prison for trafficking some 500 tons of cocaine. So the Venezuelan drug charges are a “hoax.” Under Maduro, democracy and human rights were trampled. But restoring Venezuela’s democracy is not Trump’s concern. The logical choice for a return to Venezuelan democracy is to throw U.S. support behind María Corina Machado. Winner of 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, she was and is the popular opposition leader against Maduro’s dictatorship. Instead, Trump supports the existing dictatorship. He backs Delcy Rodríguez, the interim president of Venezuela. She takes the place of Maduro, her ally. Meet the new dictator, same as the old dictator. The weakness in the Maduro news coverage is the ongoing “normalization” of Trump’s erratic, irrational, unpredictable and dangerous behavior. Under his “Don-roe Doctrine” since Maduro’s arrest, Trump has threatened further military interventions in Venezuela, as well as in Cuba, Columbia, and Iran. If he doesn’t get what he wants? Trump refuses to rule out military actions in Panama, Mexico, Canada, and Greenland. Due to his aging, news media occasionally note Trump’s general decline in cognition and stamina. News media rarely tie Trump’s actions to well-documented evidence of his psychological dysfunctions, such a narcissism, sadism and paranoia (see www.DavidDozierBooks.com and www.linkedin.com/in/david-dozier-576b684/).
