INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Henry “Hank” Kopel.

On a recent Price of Business show, Kevin Price visited with uthor and former U.S. federal prosecutor Henry “Hank” Kopel. They discussed his new book on how to actually prevent both terrorism and genocides. The key is getting the causation analysis right. Many analysts claim that such violence is caused by “ancient hatreds,” poverty, or the West’s alleged sins against “the rest.” Kopel says No, the central trigger of such mass killing is murderous leaders who relentlessly indoctrinate their people in “us-vs-them” hatreds and fantasies of revenge. This is especially true in corrupt, autocratic societies, which heighten discontent and ethnic tensions – the regime leaders then use hate propaganda to deflect discontent away from themselves and onto a designated scapegoat group. This happens repeatedly in the Middle East, hence the region’s high output of terrorism. Kopel urges Western leaders to refocus their counterterror efforts on these causal factors, and offers several policies to reduce the mass killing. Book: https://lnkd.in/dR94MBV.
