Larry Walsh Discusses His Cycling Adventures and Journey to Self-Publishing Two Memoirs
The Price of Business Digital Network has a new series of outstanding commentaries from thought leaders. This is one in that series.
Larry Walsh
I am US Army Veteran, business leader, author, and veteran’s advocate. After thirty years working in the pharmaceutical industry, I wanted a change. In 2018, I set out on a 3,120-mile bike ride from California to Florida. Six months later, I raced my bike from Oregon to Virginia in the 4,200-mile TransAm Bike Race. I found it difficult to share my experiences in quick conversations, so I wrote about my journeys pedaling through 528 towns, covering 7,300 miles and crossing 18 states. The stories from my travels encompass two books, Suit to Saddle and Forty to Finish. I find inspiration presenting to groups and relaxing at the family cabin at Torch Lake, Michigan.
