INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed David Dozier who is a leading media authority.

On a recent Price of Business show, Host Kevin Price interviewed Dr. David Dozier. He’s a professor emeritus in the journalism school at San Diego State University. They discussed efforts by the Trump administration to censor exhibits at national parks. Ours is a great nation but our country is not without flaws. One test of our greatness is sharing our history through honest storytelling. At our national parks, Americans and international visitors learn about our history from exhibits and other presentations. In recent decades, the National Park Service has worked to ensure that such storytelling reflects the truth. This means truthful, honest narratives about slavery, the widespread killing of indigenous people, the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII and others flaws. This has been true under Republican and Democratic administrations. Now, President Trump seeks to literally whitewash our real history. He has tried to censor any reference to the paradox of slavery at the President’s House Site in Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park. At New York’s Gateway National Recreation Area, Trump scrubbed an exhibit that said it hoped America would never repeat injustices like slavery, the massacres of indigenous people or holding its citizens in relocation centers because of their ethnicity. Why? Because Trump states that such truths “inappropriately disparage” America’s history. Taking pages from Orwell’s dystopian novel, 1984, Trump’s administration has posted QR codes in national parks. This lets citizens “snitch” on any exhibits that Trump’s followers consider un-American. Trump’s snitch codes have failed miserably. Through 2025, snitches posted 35,000 comments. But many of these comments blasted Trump for censorship and his ham-fisted attempt to whitewash American history. (See www.DavidDozierBooks.com and www.linkedin.com/in/david-dozier-576b684/)\
