Doug Burgum, North Dakota’s wealthy former governor, used his resources for campaign initiatives and met the polling and donor thresholds. Mike Pence, Trump’s former vice president, overcame donor challenges and engaged in thorough debate preparations. Asa Hutchinson, the final candidate to meet requirements, stood out for his willingness to criticize Trump and for his grassroots fundraising efforts.
