INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed attorney, Lee Kaplan.

Kevin Price, Editor at Large for USABR and Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business show, recently interviewed Lee Kaplan of the business law firm, Murphy Ball Stratton about the politics of Texas and nationwide. Kaplan is a long time contributor of the Price of Business show and brings important perspectives on politics, business, and the law.

On a recent Price of Business show, Host Kevin Price visited with attorney Lee Kaplan.

Reporting by ProPublica and The Texas Tribune revealed that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton allegedly voted in six elections over two years using a Collin County residence where he no longer resided. Divorce filings indicate Paxton moved out of the Collin County home in 2024, later connecting his living arrangements to a property in Denton County where he is not registered to vote.Texas law mandates that voters register at their primary residence, making intentionally misrepresenting one’s address a potential second-degree felony. Critics point to the sharp irony, as Paxton’s office actively champions strict voter-integrity measures and publicly warns against falsifying voter registration records. His campaign dismissed the reports as unfounded political attacks, maintaining that Paxton remains in full compliance with state election laws.

Whether this issue impacts the upcoming November election depends on voter perception. For Democrats, the allegations offer a compelling narrative of hypocrisy, directly targeting Paxton’s signature platform of election integrity. However, given Paxton’s history of navigating significant legal challenges—including federal securities fraud charges and a high-profile impeachment trial—this controversy may serve as a minor distraction relative to his broader legal history. Republican voters have historically stood by Paxton despite severe legal battles, making it uncertain whether address discrepancies will shift decisive votes in November.
