Welcome to the first episode of a collection of narrative exposes entitled the ‘Flim-Flam Chronicles’. These narrative commentaries will reveal the shocking truth about the ‘Master of Media Manipulation’, the ‘Devious Dean of Duplicity’, and the former Executive Director of the Christian Coalition, Ralph Reed, the man whom the Huffington Post labeled as “one of the monumental hypocrites of our time.”
This initial episode will provide an overview of the ‘Flim-Flam Chronicles’. What they are, how they came to be, and what they will present. But first, a frame of reference. A baseline, if you will, for the foundation of these narratives. My name is David Wilcox, and for several years, I was chosen to be the bodyguard and the Director of Security for Pat Robertson, perhaps the nation’s most controversial and socially polarizing televangelist. Because of my proximity to Pat, I was often privy to many of his daily activities and decisions. One of these critical decisions included Pat Robertson’s selection of Ralph Reed to man the helm of a newly formed political activist organization called the Christian Coalition. The Christian Coalition had been spawned from the rotting corpse of ‘Americans for Robertson,’ the political action committee responsible for Pat’s failed 1988 run for President of the United States. Having witnessed it all from the inside, I feel qualified to provide commentary about and expose the activities of the devious and duplicitous Ralph Reed. And I will do just that through this collective set of commentaries entitled ‘The Flim Flam Chronicles’.
Beginning with Reed’s ascension into the powerful leadership of the Christian Coalition, which lofted him onto the front cover of Time Magazine tagged as “the Right Hand of God”, the Flim Flam Chronicles will shed the irrefutable light of truth on Ralph Reed’s decades-long career littered with illegalities, deceit, conspiracy, fraud, and other despicable activities. And the saddest part is that it has all been done “in the name of Jesus.” Frankly, it is sheer blasphemy!
All my life, I’ve despised cheaters and been a seeker of the truth. This commentary series will shine the light of truth on the duplicitous career of Ralph Reed. To quote the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, “Truth is like the sun. David Wilcox retired medically from the Oceanside Police Department in his home town of Oceanside, California. He was one of the most highly-decorated officers in the history of the department and a multiple gold-medalist in swimming in the Police Olympics during his law enforcement career. In 1985, he swapped coasts, moving to Virginia Beach, Virginia, to attend graduate school at Regent University.
