INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.
Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Jeremy Murphy.
On a recent Price of Business, Host Kevin Price visited with former CBS TV Vice President Jeremy Murphy over the controversial decision of the Trump Administration doing his “First 100 Days” interview with ABC News.
President Donald Trump has picked an unlikely platform to mark the 100th day of his second term: ABC News. The network will air President Trump the First 100 Days: The Interview in the Oval Office on Tuesday, April 29, at 8 p.m. EDT with streaming available later on ABC News Live, Hulu, and Disney+.
At first glance, the choice seems baffling. Traditionally, Trump has turned to friendly networks like Fox News for major sit-downs. ABC, by contrast, has often been hostile territory. Just a few months ago, ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos falsely stated that Trump had been “found liable for rape” — a claim that led to a humiliating $15 settlement in Trump’s favor.
Given that history, Trump’s selection of ABC — and not Fox or Newsmax — looks less like a peace offering and more like a calculated act of revenge. High-profile presidential interviews at major milestones are typically handed to network stars like Stephanopoulos. By agreeing to an ABC interview, but one conducted by senior correspondent Terry Moran instead of Stephanopoulos, Trump both uses the network’s platform and humiliates its most famous political anchor by sidelining him.
Expect the interview to cover immigration, foreign policy, and the economy — but the bigger story may be the optics. Trump is forcing ABC to feature him on its airwaves while reminding viewers, and the political media class, that he’s still the one calling the shots.
It’s classic Trump: turn an adversary’s platform into a stage, and settle old scores along the way.
According to a statement, “Jeremy Murphy is a sarcastic, embittered veteran of the media industry. Founder of 360bespoke, a respected boutique PR agency in New York, Murphy handles a full roster of clients in the lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and start-up fields. Previously, he was Vice President of Communications at CBS, where he worked for 14 years. There, he oversaw PR for many of its divisions and created its glossy magazine Watch. Murphy started as a journalist, working with Knight Ridder newspapers and Mediaweek. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and lives in New York with his cat, Champers.”
