From directing to writing, producing, and acting, new leading starlet Kersti Bryan will wow audiences across the country with the upcoming AMC’s “Tales of the Walking Dead,” the brand new, highly anticipated spin-off from “The Walking Dead” series which premiered Sunday, August 14. The third spinoff series of the 70x Emmy Award-Winning series “The Walking Dead,” “Tales of the Walking Dead” will follow individual characters in each episode, telling the story of how they attempt to survive in a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies. Viewers will get to experience a world that they are already captivated by via a new lens and get to know new storylines within that universe, bringing a fresh perspective to this show. Winning multiple awards on the festival circuit including the “Audience Award” at both Cinequest Film Festival and the COVEN Film Festival, as well as getting praise from the Chelsea Film Festival, New York Shorts International Film Festival, Topaz Film Festival and the Charlotte Film Festival, to name a few, Kersti’s short film EGG PARTY won audiences over with her powerful messaging and acting. In light of the Roe v Wade overturn, EGG PARTY has been described as a film we need right now and a celebration of women’s choice over their body. (Please note we are more than happy to provide a private link to the short for viewing.) The short film stars Sophie Von Haselberg, Susan Heyward, Holly Chou, and Christine Renee Miller. Kersti is the director, co-writer and executive producer of EGG PARTY.
Described as “magnetic on stage,” Kersti has performed in various Off-Broadway shows, following her education at Interlochen Arts Academy, which has produced other notable alums including Felicity Huffman, Norah Jones, and Linda Hunt, just to name a few. After finishing up at the academy, Kersti received a degree from Carnegie Melon and moved to New York City, where she currently resides. She has consistently worked in theater and television, and most recently taken a shot at directing.
Amid the pandemic, Kersti teamed up to create a project called The Clear Day Project, which helped support essential workers by bringing them messages of hope, joy, and thanks from the arts community. They gained recognition and coverage on CNN with this project, which consisted of various artists recording videos of them singing uplifting songs to the brave frontline workers in New York hospitals, as well as shoutout videos, poetry readings, and more from others in the arts community.
