On a recent Price of Business show, host Kevin Price visited with famed defense attorney, JL Carpenter for her series, Justice and the Law with JL Carpenter. In this interview they discussed two important series on NETFLIX on serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer.

Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes’ is the recent documentary series for Netflix. It follows the story of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer’s confessions. His confessions were filmed in 1991 and never released until now.

This three-part documentary explores Jeffrey Dahmer’s warped psyche. It includes extensive interviews with his legal team and reporters. It also features never-before-heard audio interviews. And it examines the police response to Dahmer’s crimes and his pattern of targeting the gay community in Milwaukee.

Originally, Netflix put the Dahmer series in the LGBTQ category. However, it removed him after fan outcry. The new Netflix series will show Dahmer’s victims’ perspectives. Unlike the series above, this is done with actors. JL Carpenter says the two series are perfect complements to each other.

She is a Native Houstonian and a former prosecutor. J.L. Carpenter began her defense practice in 2006 and since has defended thousands of clients including three high profile trials in Houston. J.L. also aids clients in finding sobriety and works with folks in recovery outside of her legal practice.
